Vernon A. Strand, 79

Vernon Albin Strand died July 10, 2006. He was 79.

Strand was born to Albin and Mae (Skog) Strand in Duluth, Minn. on March 22, 1927.

He married Vera (McArthur) Strand.

Strand worked in the seafood buisness in Poulsbo until 1992.

He enjoyed hiking Hurricane Ridge, clowning, dancing and old cars and was a “Jack of all trades.”

Strand is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Vera (McArthur) Strand; daughters Linda Tucker and Pamela Collins; brother Donald Strand; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, Sept. 3 at Clearbrook Inn, 12295 Schold Place NW in Silverdale.
