As newcomers to Bainbridge Island back in 1987, our two preschool kids loved the library’s large children’s area. They went to toddler story times, picked out colorful children’s books and when they were in high school, did a lot of research there. Over the years we rented videos, and spent many hours in that library.
It’s a good thing we didn’t live in Kingston then. The Kingston Library is so small, you have to turn around to change your mind. We would have missed all of those great opportunities for our kids to fall in love with books.
With your “yes” vote for the library levy on the November ballot, Kingston can also have a library that provides a high level of service in an adequate space. Help keep our libraries strong and responsive to our growing community needs.
We encourage you to vote “yes” with us.
