Police arrest man suspected in death of 19-month-old boy

BREMERTON—Today, Bremerton Police arrested a man suspected in the April death of a 19-month-old boy.

According to police, the man was babysitting his live-in girlfriend’s 19-month-old son. He was the only person with the boy in the hours before he reported the toddler was found unresponsive and not breathing.

The toddler was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, where he died.

Police say the death ruled suspicious until final autopsy and toxicology exams ruled the death a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head.

The man was arrested for murder in the second degree. He is being held at Kitsap County Jail on $1 million bail.
