Suspect arrested in fatal hit-and-run near Poulsbo

A suspect is now in custody following a fatality hit and run Oct. 7 at Rhododendron Drive NW, south of Pioneer Hill Road NW, in unincorporated Poulsbo, that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, per the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

The deceased was a 62-year-old Poulsbo man, per the Kitsap County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.

The collision happened sometime between 1:30 and 2:09 p.m. Vehicle parts found at the scene indicated the vehicle is a 2012-2014 Subaru Impreza. It has damage on the right front side and is missing a side mirror and fog light trim, per KCSO.
