Kitsap Block Party: Celebrating community, cultivating connection and creating change

An invitation to join the movement this August and beyond

When was the last time you felt truly connected to your neighbors, your community, or a cause that made you proud to live in Kitsap County? The Kitsap Block Party is your invitation to do just that; celebrate together, lift each other up, and invest in the kind of Kitsap we all want to see flourish.

Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Kitsap Block Party is more than just a summertime event – it’s a year-round movement rooted in community, charity and collaboration. With the motto “Fostering the Unity in CommUnity,” the all-volunteer board works tirelessly to support local nonprofits, empower youth athletics and create programs that drive long-term socioeconomic change across the peninsula.

And it all culminates in one powerful annual gathering.

Save the date: Aug. 2, 2025

Held at the home of their largest partner, Tracyton Pee Wee Sports Association (5069 Bunker St. NW in Bremerton), this year’s event promises something for everyone:

  • Vendor fair and activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring local makers, games, rides and giveaways
  • Food drive in support of local food security efforts
  • Community guests, including CK Fire & Rescue and Tacoma Rainiers mascot Rhubarb
  • Special appearance by Mayor Greg Wheeler (time TBD)
  • Fundraising goal of $30,000 in support of Kitsap-focused community projects

How you can get involved

Kitsap Block Party is calling on neighbors, business owners and community advocates to get involved in meaningful ways:

  • Volunteer or join the board – The organization is run entirely by volunteers, and several board positions are open. Whether you’re an organizer, creative or connector, Kitsap Block Party is looking for fresh ideas and passionate leaders.
  • Become a sponsor or vendor – Flexible advertising tiers are available for both for-profit and nonprofit entities. Sponsors receive recognition and community visibility while directly supporting projects that uplift Kitsap County. Vendor fees are waived for most sponsorship levels.
  • Show up and share the word – Attendance matters. Word of mouth matters. If you believe in community-centered events that support youth and nonprofits, this is the event to champion.

Why it matters

This isn’t just about one day in August. It’s about keeping community strong year-round. It’s about preserving the joy of pee wee sports, funding programs for underserved populations, and creating space where local residents and local businesses can thrive side by side.

Kitsap Block Party exists because people here care and because connection creates lasting change.
