A Stage 2 Burn Ban is now in effect on Bainbridge Island.
Allowed are propane or liquid fuel grills, fire tables or fit pits, along with self contained wood pellet grills.
No longer allowed are: recreational wood fires; agricultural, ceremonial and charcoal fires; burn barrels, yard waste or debris burning; or weed torches.
The city placed the ban in effect because of dry conditions and the threat of wildfires.
