Jeanette Laree Adamson, 82, will be remembered by everyone who knew her as a woman of great kindness, generosity and creativity, who never lost her joy for living. She died Sept. 11 at her son’s home in Seabeck, surrounded by family and loved ones.

A long-time resident of Springfield, Ill., until her retirement in 1989, Jeanette was employed by the Illinois State Police and Central Illinois Public Service Co. She was married for 61 years to Joseph Adamson until his death in 2016. The couple lived in El Paso, Texas; Springfield, Ill.; Orangeburg, S.C.; McDonough and Conyers, Ga.; and more recently, Bremerton.

Jeanette was an accomplished pianist and organist and played at churches and venues throughout the United States. She was a member of the Bremerton United Methodist Church.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter Tamela Adamson-McMullen (David); son Robert Joseph Adamson (Wendi); grandson Tanner McMullen (Makenzie); two sisters, Iva Gorwill and Evelyn Boyce; many nieces and nephews; and friends from coast to coast.

Celebration of Life service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Bremerton United Methodist Church, 1150 Marine Drive, Bremerton. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent.
