We are indeed fortunate to have the Poulsbo Fire Department protecting our community. Providing medical aid was an important part of my 43-year career. While never a recipient, that changed recently upon suffering a personal injury.

Please accept this public recognition of their skills, professionalism and compassion. A personal thank you to Paramedics Andy Plenge and Jim Whitsett.

Yours in safety,

Steve Boyer
Sheriff
Happily retired
