Winds approaching 45 miles an hour disrupted power to a wide swatch of South Kitsap homes this afternoon and evening, according to Puget Sound Energy.

As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, PSE listed 10,963 customers as being without power. Six customers lost power in Olalla.

Much of Kitsap County, as well as portions of King County, have been hit hard by the stormy, windy conditions.

Bremerton and Bainbridge Island also are suffering significant power outages.
