Derek Kilmer is a false martyr

Derek Kilmer at every forum or on television ads, tells us he sacrificed during sequestration by forgoing his salary. Kilmer wants to be a martyr, yet a little digging into facts reveals a different truth.
First, Kilmer took all his back pay after sequestration was over. For a politician who has $1.5 millionin his coffers, no real sacrifice. How did all of this come about?
In 2011, President Obama signed into law the Budget Control Act of 2011. This created a Supercommittee that is chaired by our Sen. Patty Murray. The Supercommittee’s job was to find budget cuts within three years or give us Sequestration. Along comes Kilmer to vote for the No Budget No Pay Act, which lifted the debt ceiling on the federal government.
Katy bar the door. While sequestration kept veterans from visiting war memorials, the feds had unlimited debt creation ability, thanks to Kilmer. When the feds borrowing damage was over, Obama signed House Bill 933 to end sequestration. How did Derek Kilmer vote to end sequestration? Kilmer voted “no” to end sequestration.
Kilmer is no martyr. His is a politician who will tell you what you want to hear and do another thing to make sure government gets bigger and more controlling over our lives. We do not need false political martyrs.
We need to fire Kilmer and his $1.5 million PAC and corporate political campaign contributors from Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. and Seattle.
