Hey bidder, bidder! The Poulsbo Lions Club is excited to announce its second Fall Fling Dinner & Auction on Oct. 4. As we did last year, there will be a silent auction and a live auction.
Tickets are $40 each, which includes a great dinner and a Dessert Dash (fun and tasty!). To get your ticket, please contact Pauline Ostheller at 360-598-2239. Be sure to ask a friend to join you.
We are seeking donations of items, including gift cards and certificates. Nothing is too small. We can always bundle it with other items in a gift basket.
We also need sponsors of the event. There are three levels: $500 gets you four tickets and an auction catalog full-page ad (5-1/2 inches x 8-1/2 inches with margins); $250 gets you a half-page ad with two tickets; and new this year is a $100 “business card” ad, which is approximately one-quarter the size of the auction catalog. Please contact Dennis Peters, our club president and dinner auction chairman, at 360-930-0630 to be a sponsor.
This year, our Dinner & Auction Committee has chosen the North Kitsap Boys & Girls Club and Martha & Mary for the Fund-a-Need portion of our auction. Bidders simply raise their paddles to donate to either or both groups. The NK Boys & Girls Club needs computers, while Martha & Mary needs automatic electronic defibrillators.
Our first auction brought in $30,000 and benefitted Fishline Food Bank, our club’s Hearing Aids Fund, the Poulsbo Symphony Orchestra, Sound Works, the Poulsbo Police K-9, Poulsbo Elementary School computer lab, and Retsil Veterans Home.
We hope you’ll find a way to help our nonprofit club help our community!
