Appreciates story on Canoe Journey

Regarding the story, “Canoe Journey’s message,” page A1, June 20 Herald:

Nice job. Loved the environmental edginess to the story.

I was blessed with an opportunity to be a puller in the 2005 journey to Lower Elwha. Even a couple of days of pulling is a remarkable experience. I can’t imagine a 500-miler.
