Recycle those Christmas trees!

Give your tree a new life by recycling it.

Trees are chipped into mulch or compost, which can be returned to the earth as a soil amendment.

Kitsap County’s treecycling begins on Dec. 26. The countywide treecycling program runs through Jan. 15 at several locations.

Residents are asked to remove all nails, wire, tinsel, lights, and ornaments before recycling their tree. Flocked trees will not be accepted. Garlands and wreaths will also not be taken.
