The Kitsap Adult Center for Education (KACE) is seeking volunteers in Kitsap County who want to help adults improve their reading, writing and other basic skills. There are opportunities to assist foreign-born adults in English as a Second Language (ESL). Several ESL students are looking for tutors.
The next ESL Tutor Training will be held Sept. 20th 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Kitsap Adult Center for Education’s Bremerton office, 616 5th St., which is the basement of the downtown library.
Please contact KACE at 360-373-1539 or via e-mail at info@kacewa.org. Applications for participation in the training are available for download at www.kacewa.org. Interested applicants may also stop in to the KACE office and complete an application. A completed application and training is needed prior to starting tutoring.
KACE is a community-based agency that helps adults improve their reading, writing, math and English. Trained volunteers work with students one-on-one in community settings.
