Legislators, Kitsap County Commissioners round table on veteran issues

Several legislators, county commissioners, and the Advisory Board will have a round table discussion Dec. 11 in regard to veteran issues in the upcoming session.

Topics include making the Veterans Assistance Fund a stand-alone levy and changing the definition of veterans for the Assistance Fund to include General Discharges Under Honorable Conditions.  Currently, only veterans with an Honorable Discharge are eligible for help from the county’s Veterans Assistance Fund.
