Belfair man wanted for NK Metal Recycling burglary

KINGSTON — A Mason County man is sought in the burglary and theft from North Kitsap Metal Recycling Aug. 12.
Earl Edward Gale, 43, is described by the Sheriff’s Office as 5 feet 8 inches, 216 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. According to a Sheriff’s Office report, investigators have evidence that identifies Gale as the suspect who allegedly burglarized the Kingston business and stole scrap metal.
Sheriff’s detectives and Mason County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at Gale’s residence outside of Belfair Aug. 16, and an arrest warrant was signed Aug. 17. According to the report, “Investigators believe that Gale was on-scene but fled as authorities approached the property.
The owners of North Kitsap Metal Recycling reported the burglary just after 8 a.m. Aug. 12. Video surveillance showed a person, unknown to the owners, entering the business at 2:43 a.m. According to the report, the suspect was wearing blue jeans, a ball cap and a light-colored camouflage coat.
About $150-200 worth of wire was missing from one bin, and an unknown amount of scrap wire was missing from three other bins. The owners estimate $500-800 worth of copper wire was taken.
