Brittney Brown crowned Miss Kingston 2012

KINGSTON — Brittney Brown earned the crown, title and scholarship for Miss Kingston Aug. 4 at Kingston Middle School.

The 17-year-old will be a senior attending Olympic College as a Running Start student through North Kitsap High School.

Her Princesses are 16-year-old Megan Jarvis and 16-year-old Tatianna Finch.

Brown ran her pageant platform on youth mentoring, “Building Bonds, Breaking Barriers.” She earned a $1,000 scholarship, and said she would like to become an orthodontist or endodontist.

Jarvis and Finch each won a $500 scholarship. Jarvis, a junior at Kingston High School, said she plans to attend Olympic College as a Running Start student and later attend the University of Oregon. Finch, also a junior at Kingston High School, said she’d like to become a nurse and travel the world as a World Relief nurse.
