Can they keep their promises?

I have read many articles about the Village Green Foundation project in the last many months. I like the idea of the community center but I feel that it is being misrepresented.
Everyone hears about the 15 cents per $1,000 evaluation, which sounds good, but according to the Village Green Foundation information, passing this ballot measure would give the district the right to raise the tax up to 75 cents per $1,000 evaluation without a vote from the people. It could cost five times what they say it will and rarely is anything said about this in the paper. That is like having a blank check.
Verbal promises are not enough. This needs to be addressed for others to think about.
