Motorists may encounter delays of up to 20 minutes during peak commute times on Hansville Road, between the Point Casino entrance and Ecology Road. Road construction is taking place there which includes traffic safety improvement, widening lanes, installing a two-way left turn lane, providing intersection channelization and creating eight-foot paved shoulders. Oceanside Construction, Inc. is conducting the work on this $893,222 project.

Other delays, also of up to 20 minutes during peak commute times on Miller Bay Road, between West Kingston Road and Indianola Road at the North Kitsap Heritage Park entrance, are also anticipated. Delays are due to completion of a road-widening and channelization project that was suspended due to weather last October. Northern Con-Ag continues work on this $468,771 project.

Hood Canal Drive, between Hood Canal Place and Ponderosa Drive, will undergo a traffic safety improvement project of road widening to allow two 11-foot lanes and six-foot paved shoulders, horizontal and vertical curve corrections on the road, and a culvert replacement at Hawks Hole Creek. Seton Construction was scheduled to begin work on this $991,422 project May 27, which lasts through October.
