Time to spruce up Kingston PUD trails
Published 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2006
Volunteers are needed to join work crews in clearing and cleaning up the Public Utilities District-Great Peninsula Conservancy trails in Kingston.
Groups will meet 10 a.m. to noon on two Saturdays, June 24 and Aug. 16. Bring gloves and clipping tools of your preference.
Entry points to access the Kingston PUD-GPC trails are:
1. Behind the first row of units at Bayview Estates on Pennsylvania Avenue (walk around the fence gate). Do not park in the condominium parking lot. This where the green pump house is located. The gate will be unlocked on trail work days.
2. At the end of 272nd Avenue off Lindvog Road (two trailheads here with a sign at the furthermost one).  There isn’t parking here. This is a walk-in-only access.
3. On the west side of Ohio Avenue (signs mark the two entrances).  Use small parking lot at Quiet Place Park across the street.
Call Bobbie Moore at (360) 297-2845 for more information on the June 24 work party and Mary Gleysteen at (360) 297-3894 for details on the Aug. 16 event.
