Local basketball teams begin trek to state tournaments.

District and league tournaments tipoff this week for local Class 3A, 2A, 1A and 1B teams looking to reach their respective state tournaments.

District and league tournaments tipoff this week for local Class 3A, 2A, 1A and 1B teams looking to reach their respective state tournaments.

On Monday, Feb. 9, both of the Crosspoint’s teams will be in SeaTac Class 1B tournament action at home. The girls will host Northwest Yeshiva at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m. against Rainier Christian in a loser-out game.

Both of the girls’ teams will play Thursday, Feb. 12, at Evergreen Lutheran High School in Tacoma.

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, Central Kitsap girls will host Kelso in first-round action in the Class 3A West Central District tournament. Both teams will play again on Friday at 7:45 p.m. The winners will at Clover Park High School and the loser will play at Washington High School.

In 2A West Central District tournament boys action, Olympic will host Washington at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. Both teams will play again on Friday at either Foss or Wilson High School.

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the Bremerton girls will play at host Washington at 7 p.m., while Olympic hosts White River at 7 p.m. in the first round of 2A West Central District girls’ tournament play.

Both Bremerton and Olympic will play again on Saturday at either Foss or Curtis High School.

In Class 1A District 3 tournament action, Klahowya girls will host the No. 3 seed from the Nisqually League at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.

The boys will host Charles Wright Academy at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in a loser-out game in District 3 tournament action.
