Five Suquamish athletes in Toronto for North American Indigenous Games

SUQUAMISH — A group of young athletes from the Suquamish Tribe are in Toronto, Canada for the week-long North American Indigenous Games.

The games began on July 16 and continue through July 23, and include events such as basketball, lacrosse, baseball, canoe/kayak, golf, and soccer.

Among the members of the Suquamish Youth Team are five golfers competing in 17-and-younger female, 17-and-younger male and 19-and-younger male tournaments.

Chalakwatud Chiquiti, Devan Crow, Hailey Crow, Kamiakin Gwinn, and Tyler Marquez are the only five athletes representing the entire state of Washington in golf.
