Sheldon P. Sageser

February 20, 1941 – June 17, 2016

Sheldon Paul Sageser, 75, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington.

He was born on Feb. 20, 1941. Sheldon graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1959. He retired from civil service at Keyport, Washington and also was self-employed at Horizon TV and Appliance in Bremerton.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo, Washington. Don loved his life and his many loved ones. His greatest joy was to be with his family. He wanted his children to enjoy their professions, family and friends. His grandchildren brought him so much joy. He followed all their activities. His new great-granddaughter put a special spark in his eyes as he bounced her on his knee.

Don was his senior class president at North Kitsap High where all of his classmates were special to him. He had a gift of friendship and laughter and drew many into his life. Don and his wife, Cheryl, had 54 years of love, fun and togetherness. He called First Lutheran Church “home” and thought Christ’s work was also his work, especially to love all.

Don is survived by his wife of Poulsbo‚ sons Scot (Penny) of Seabeck, Washington and Tim Sageser of Poulsbo; his grandchildren Amanda (Tobin), Michelle (Kellie), Christina, Caitlin, and Chloe; his great-granddaughter Skyler; sister Pat Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ike and Loretta Sageser; and nephews Randy and Jeff Brown.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
