Edward Wayne Brown | Passages

POULSBO — Edward Wayne Brown passed away on June 21 under the care of his daughter, Shelly Brown, and his wife, Perry Ann Porter.

He was 77.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Many knew him as “Eddie the Barber” or as “Fast Eddie.”

Ed was born in Edwardsville, Illinois on May 9, 1939. He owned barber shops in Alaska and Sandy’s on Bainbridge Island, and cut hair for 12 years at Snipper’s Barber Shop in Kingston.

Ed was a talented gentleman, singing and playing guitar with different bands, sharing his excellent voice with many. He was a self-taught artist, dabbling in oils.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred; and daughter, Christy Manus. In addition to his daughter and his wife, he is survived by his sister, Debra Brinker; and grandson, Alex Manus.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
