A New Kingston Writers Group invites you to join in a friendly supportive atmosphere to encourage writing poetry, nonfiction or fiction. Meetings are on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Kingston Community Center. Beginners are welcome.

Kingston Book Group will read “Cutting for Stone” by Abraham Verghese and meet on Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Indianola Room.

Kingston Classics Book Group will finish discussing “The Brothers Karamazov” by Fyodor Dostoevsky on Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m., in the Indianola Room.

Just for Teens & Tweens:  “Bring Your Own Pokemon” on Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m. and celebrate the awesomeness of all things Pokemon! The library is the place to bring your own cards, manga, games and more, plus hang out with other Pokemon fans. Grades 5-12.

LITTLE BOSTON LIBRARY EVENTS
– Songs and Stories of the Coast Salish Peoples is a special program on Nov. 16, at 3:30 p.m., in the S’Klallam Longhouse. Che oke’ ten, a member of the Saanich First Nation on Vancouver Island, will share traditional songs and stories. He interweaves his spirit-gifted songs on Native American flute with traditional drum songs.

– Yarn Rules! On Nov. 9, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. you can unravel the mysteries of yarn. Learn the meaning of yarn sizes, weights, gauges, and label symbols plus how to exchange one yarn for another.  For teens and adults.

– Little Boston Book Group meets the first Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m. to noon. Call us for the next book title.

– Preschool Storytimes led by Emily on Tuesdays, Nov. 1, 8 and 15, at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., especially for ages 3-6 years.

– Toddler Storytimes led by Emily on Tuesdays, Nov. 1, 8 and 15, at 11:30 a.m., especially for ages 18-36 months. Playtime follows Storytime.

– Adult Crafternoon welcomes everyone at a new time: Wednesdays, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Bring your handwork projects.
