— Kingston Book Group: April 3, 10 a.m. We’ll discuss “The Hare with Amber Eyes: A Hidden Inheritance,” by Edmund De Waal.

— Spring Break DIY Book Art: April 4, 2-4 p.m. Alter old books to make book art and book poetry! Materials provided although you can bring your own. All will leave with their own book art and ideas for more! For grades 5 to 12.

— Kingston Friends of the Library Meeting: April 9, 10 a.m. Support the Kingston Library by joining.

— Classics Book Group: April 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Discussion on first half of “War and Peace,” by Leo Tolstoy.

— Kingston Writers Group: April 9 and 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Enjoy a friendly, supportive atmosphere to encourage writing. Beginners welcome.

— Legos @ the Library: April 18, 3-5 p.m. Love Legos? Drop in for a fun afternoon full of free play and build-it challenges! For children.

— Seattle Opera Preview: Lecture by Norm Hollingshead on “Voix Humaine” and “Suor Angelica,” April 20, 2-3:30 p.m. “Voix Humaine,” by Francis Poulenc is a captivating drama which takes place on the telephone. In “Suor Angelica,” Giacomo Puccini tells the story of a noble-born woman whose family disowns her when she joins a convent. Funded by a Kingston couple and the KRL Foundation.

— Pajama Storytimes: Mondays at 7 p.m. Children can wear pajamas and listen to bedtime stories read by our youth services librarian. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

— Preschool Storytime:  Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Rnjoy a morning full of stories, songs, rhymes and fun with our youth services librarian! Especially for children 3-5.  Siblings and other family members welcome.

LITTLE BOSTON EVENTS
— Spring Break DIY Book Art: April 3, 3:30-5 p.m. Alter old books to make book art and book poetry. Materials provided, although you can bring your own. All will leave with their own book art and ideas for more! For grades 5-12.

— Little Boston Book Group: April 3, 11 a.m. to noon. We’ll discuss “Walking across Egypt,” by Clyde Edgerton.

— Spring Break Gaming @ the Library: April 5, from 2-4 p.m. Fun for all ages at the library. We’ll have both board and video games. Snacks too.

— How to Download Magazines: April 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Choose from 100 magazines. Call us to register for this class, (360) 297-2670.

— Legos at the Library:  April 17, from 3:30-5 p.m. If you love Legos, grab a friend and head to the library for an afternoon of free play and build-it challenges. For tweens and children.

— Living Closer to the Ground: April 22, from 6-7 p.m. Author Dylan Tomine and his wife left Seattle for a house in the woods and way of life that allowed them to explore nature daily. His book, “Closer to the Ground,” walks readers through four seasons of foraging and cooking as a family. Books will be available for purchase.

— Crafternoon:  April 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2:30-3:30 p.m.  Bring your handwork projects and browse new craft books.

— Preschool Storytime:  April 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy a morning full of stories, songs, rhymes and fun with our youth services librarian, Whitney. Especially for children ages 3-5 accompanied by a caregiver.  Siblings welcome.

— Baby and Me Storytime: April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 1 p.m.  Enjoy bouncy rhymes, songs, and stories that promote language learning and early literacy skills. Playtime afterwards. For babies up to 18 months old accompanied by a caregiver.

— Kitsap Regional Library Board of Trustees meeting: April 23, 5:30-6:30 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.
