Silverdale Way/Myhre Road intersection will be closed for paving April 19

SILVERDALE — The intersection of Silverdale Way NW and NW Myhre Road will be closed 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 19 as Kitsap County Public Works prepares and paves the intersection.

Public Works recommends you choose an alternate route if possible, or follow the posted detours. Work on this project will be weather dependent.

To prepare the roadway, intermittent lane closures will occur overnight (between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.) April 17 and 18. During this work, two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times. Flaggers will direct motorists through the construction area, and minimal delays are expected, Public Works reported.

This is some of the last major work in a project that began last summer. The project created a right-turn lane westbound on NW Myhre Road. The traffic signal system at the intersection was upgraded, new illumination along NW Myhre Road was installed, improvements to the stormwater system were made, and pedestrian facilities were upgraded.

The paving work on April 19 completes the project, with the exception of minor ancillary work.
