Several county roads impacted by repairs | The Road Report

PORT ORCHARD — Several Kitsap County roads are closed now and into the coming weeks for ongoing county work crew projects and maintenance activities.

The county’s public works department reported the following roads are or will be closed:

NE Fairgrounds Road (various locations) has significant delays through February.

John Carlson Road is closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday between SR 303 and Lazy S Lane.

Silverdale Way has lane restrictions between SR 303 and Misty Ridge Lane. Expect moderate delays of between five and 10 minutes.

Washington Boulevard NE has a 10,000-pound weight restriction in place.

Hansville Road Shoulder Project: March to October

Work resumes in March for crews building 6-foot-wide paved shoulders on both sides of Hansville Road NE. The project includes installing stormwater conveyance facilities within the widened shoulders, the public works depart said.

The work is scheduled between NE Bayberry Lane to NE Gust Halvor Road. Work will continue through October. Crews will be onsite intermittently during this time period and will set advance construction signs several days prior to their arrival.

When crews are present, county officials said, expect one-lane traffic in the immediate vicinity of the work. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work area and will minimize delays as much as possible. Immediate access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all time, the county said, and crews will maintain entry to residential driveways. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
