Troop 555 hosts spaghetti feed, event to benefit troop service activities

KINGSTON — The Boy Scouts of Troop 555 — also known as the “Triple Nickel” — will host a spaghetti fund raiser dinner at 6 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Greater Hansville Community Center.

The event will feature an auction showcasing Scout crafts and a meal of spaghetti casserole with meatballs, salad, dinner rolls and ice cream.

Adult tickets are $7.50; tickets for children 12 and younger are $5. Tickets will be sold at the door the day of the event, so guests are encouraged to arrive early.

Proceeds from the event will support the troop in their service activities, from summer camp and Scout Lodge maintenance to camping trips and backpacking equipment.

The “Triple Nickel” was established more than 50 years ago by a group of World War II veterans. Last year, the Greater Hansville Community Center became the troop’s new charter organization.

“Come on out and enjoy some great food, meet some great kids, and support your local Scouts,” scout parent Duane Drummond said. “We’re hoping you will all come.”
