If you love fiddle music — bluegrass, gospel, country, folk, jazz and Celtic — you’re going to love the Voetberg Family Band, according to Kris Goodfellow, Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Programmer. Multi-Grammy winner Floyd Domino has called them “… unique, wonderful, talented, entertaining, and a joy,” according to the band’s Facebook page.

Between them, the 10 talented young people – ages six to 23 – have already won 10 Washington state fiddle championships, 20 regional fiddle championships, 10 ‘Top Five’ placements at the National Fiddle Competition, and the title of 2007 National Young Adult Fiddle Champion. Not to mention eight WSMTA awards for outstanding keyboard and vocal performance.

There’s Liddy, lead vocalist, fiddle and piano; Elisha on guitar, vocals, mandolin; Annnie on cello, fiddle, guitar; Lilja playing piano, fiddle and doing vocals; Tucker on drums, fiddle, vocals and mandolin; Deter on bass, fiddle; Vance on fiddle, vocals; Rudy on fiddle; and Lisa on vocals. They are often joined by Joby playing bass, guitar and vocals, and Brice on the piano and vocals.

The Voetberg Family Band is sponsored by Kregg Hoover, DDS; The Port of Poulsbo;  WWU on the Peninsula; Central Market; InMotion Performance Studio; and  Marine View Beverage.

Other concerts this summer will be July 12  (Betsy & the Boys), July 19 (The Malo Combo), July 26 (Navy Band NW), August 2 (Blue Rhino), and August 12 (Poulsbo Orchestra’s own Viking Brass).
