Those lackluster, slow-growth Obama years and now

Thanks to the North Kitsap Herald for keeping us aware of differing views. I have been an observer of Tom Driscoll’s submissions for several years and he inevitably contributes to the checks and balances that our political system needs. Tom and so many well-known personalities from Hollywood, sports and political fields, appear unwavering in their blatant resistance for virtually anything that benefits America.

Stimulating business and cutting restrictive regulations; creating jobs and bringing jobs back from abroad; better foreign deals; working to reduce the national debt; supporting the police and ICE to uphold existing laws; making a healthcare program that works for all, especially for vets; improving schools and education; modernizing our military. These are only some of the targets that attract disproportionate scorn and negativity.

Anyway, thank you, Tom: your never-ending support for the previous regime’s policies that gave us useless borders, slow growth, massive debt, lackluster enthusiasm, dwindling self respect, depressing levels of handouts and entitlements, overwhelming regulations and more social division for decades — your persistent efforts worked to convince enough Democrats and Independents to think twice and come over.

The political blocking, street violence and televised anarchy were not the preferred choice and the loud, shutting down of reasonable debate actually clinched the vote for a better American future for all.

God bless America.
