I started attending Poulsbo City Council meetings back in 2007 when the city government was located in the old city building. I was a regular at the meetings back then and still attend them, although not as routinely as I’d like.

I’ve watched Becky Erickson closely, first as a new City Council member, and then as our mayor. I can tell you that she is the best qualified person for the job of mayor and the most dedicated elected official I’ve ever met. For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure to observe her as closely as I have through these years, I offer this to you.

Take the time to look up Becky’s original campaign statement for the Poulsbo’s mayor election in the 2009 Kitsap County Voters Pamphlet. You can access it through the county elections site. Compare her “If elected” promises to her accomplishments throughout her tenure. You will see that this woman is committed to the city of Poulsbo’s best interest and she does what she says she’ll do.
