On behalf of the Poulsbo Police Department, I would like to thank all of you who supported and attended our National Night Out on Aug. 1.

There were police cars, fire engines, boats and public works equipment. Crime and fire prevention information was distributed. And there were crafts and games provided by our local business partners.

However, the most important thing that occurred was the interaction between our employees and you, the members of our community. It is really this purpose behind National Night Out — community members engaging with their police departments under positive circumstances.

It is our honor to serve this city. I want to assure every Poulsbo resident that our employees are committed to providing you the best in public safety. We appreciate your continued support and for making Poulsbo a great community.

We look forward to seeing you at National Night Out on Aug. 7, 2018.
